Shala Reminders

Kindly arrive on time

The shala opens 20 minutes before class starts so you’re welcome to arrive early to settle in and make payment before class starts. The gate is closed at class start in order to keep the peace of the space.

Let’s keep things tidy

Just like any home, we like to keep ours clean for all that pass through. Please remove your shoes and slippers before entering the wooden practice area. Coats can be hung outside on the railing if wet or on hooks if dry.

No recording allowed.

Let’s respect everyone’s right privacy by not recording them as they move, sing and do their thing. We invite you take any content you’d like before and after class, just not while it is ongoing.

You are welcome here.

And finally, please remember that we are here to support you in your journey. We welcome all levels of experience and mobility. No need to be shy about being a beginner or not being ‘flexible’. We have a team of very experienced teachers who are here for you. We also have an accessibility ramp and an accessible bathroom to further support you.

Our Teachers

Kaye

Gentle Yoga | Kirtan |Yoga Nidra

Kaye is a teacher that practices and teaches around the healing capacity of sound, especially that of our own voice.

Kaye weaves together her lifelong vocal training and her passion for yogic philosophy with more recent study of somatic movement.

Her offerings radiate joyfulness. She receives fulfillment through leading people into relaxed states of consciousness.

Nicole

Mythic Flow

Nicole has been a teacher of yoga, but mostly its student, for 16 years.

Her practice is rooted in the life-affirming tradition of Tantra, in the intention and alignment based Anusara Yoga, and deeply influenced by the somatic teachings of Embodied Flow.

Her Mythic Flow classes are interwoven offerings of all three, filled with stories that uplift and yoga flows that align body and spirit.

Jeanne

Movement + Sound | Hatha Flow

Jeanne is a firm believer in the idea that the teachings we receive while we do our practice on the mat, can be applied to aspects off the mat.

She strives for students to form a connection with themselves beyond the physical elements of the practice.

Her asana and sound classes empower students to explore the profound effects of the practice to facilitate their journey towards mindfulness.

Quincy

Hatha Flow

Quincy began his yoga journey when he moved to the island in 2014, slowly blossoming into a nurturing practice. His calling to hold space for others organically grows from his own consistent practice. One can expect a steady flow of asana, a focus on breath, grounded intuitive knowledge, and a big smile in his classes.

He believes that this practice has made him malakas at maganda, and he wants to share that strength and beauty with those he encounters on his journey.
